Matt has just posted on WordPress.org letting everyone know that the Beta of WordPress 2.3 is available. For those of you that are willing to help test out the Beta version of WordPress, you are most welcome to try this. Today the second beta drops for your testing pleasure. They have fixed a bunch of bugs in the last week when they released the beta 1 on August 28.

  • Some of the features of 2.3 include plugin and core update notification, built-in tags support, faster javascript, and SEO-friendly URL redirection.

However all of the new functionality is still very rough, so only test the beta if you are comfortable troubleshooting PHP issues, filing tickets, and backing up your data religiously.

Check out the full post on WordPress.org and get downloading. Don’t forget to let me know how it goes. And if you need more tips on WordPress kindly goto this blog, http://www.bloggingpro.com/.
