Just to highlight here that Malaysian Car Manufacturer, Proton, is launching its latest sedan, the Persona. This is Proton strategy to restore its position as the No. 1 car company in Malaysia from Perodua. Today I was in Kuala Lumpur to visit one of my customer and after the meeting, I drop by at one of Proton's show room in Subang Jaya before reaching my office.

According to Proton in today's local daily, Persona will replace the Proton Wira – one of Proton’s highest volume sellers since 1993 with the following price range: Persona prices range from RM44,999 (USD12,640), for the Base Line variant with five-speed manual gear box up, to RM55,800 (USD15,674), for the High Line version with four-speed automatic transmission for local Malaysian. Besides the new Persona sedan, Proton reportedly plans to release other models including a multipurpose vehicle in 2009.
