Hi Friends,
Welcome To My “Work From Home” Blog.
This is my personal blog where I would like to share ideas about online marketing and making a living from home.
I have my own conventional business but starting in the year 2005, I am interested to study the Internet marketing trade. At first I want to do this just to find ways to boost my current business. Along the Journey, I found out Internet Marketing or Online Business is something that creates interest to me. Why?
I am at my early forties (ermm)…quite old huh!… so I am thinking a way to make a living apart from my current conventional business. I know I need to find some alternative when I quit my current business. What I am looking actually? I am looking for time freedom and at the same time making a living at home. I long dreamed of staying home and be with my family. This I could not do for a very, very long time. Everyday I need to beat the traffic to office, crack my head looking for new customers, stay up late to do business proposal, a lot of meetings, a lot of reports, a lot of seeing customers and entertaining them…so I left with no time to be with my family.
I have 2 daughters growing day in and day out. In today’s world and being a person living in Malaysia, life sometimes is difficult to upbringing my children. They need a constant attention, which all this time I leave it to my wife to take care for. As my daughters grow, the burden is getting bigger and my wife hand is short handed. I hope you guys know what I mean.
So I need to find a way to solve this problem that is to be closer to my 2 daughters and at the same time have money. So Making Money Online From Home is the best alternative that I could think off. I explore and met a lot of friends online which I never met face to face. It is an amazing new experience for me. They are all very helpful in giving me tips and advise.
A brief of who is “roslimh“? This is a short form I created for my online identity. Actually it is derived from my name, Rosli Mohamed Hanip. I was born in a small town called Kajang, which is famous for it’s Satay (also written saté) or skewered barbecue meat or chicken. Kajang is around 14 miles from the capital,
Kuala Lumpur.
My early years in school were in Kuala Lumpur and later my parent moved to Ipoh, Perak that is northern of Peninsular Malaysia. We stayed in Ipoh for more than 10 years. I did my secondary schooling years in Anderson School, Ipoh. Then in 1984, I was offered a scholarship by Petronas (a National Oil Company) to further my studies in the States. I am a “Hurricanes” from 1984 - 1988. Oppps! “Hurricanes” is a nickname to University Of Miami, Florida. I stayed in Miami for the whole 4 years to get my degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. In sport, Hurricanes is a powerhouse in American Football. We are “numero uno” at that time. Hope to be in Miami in the near future.
I came back to Malaysia in 1988 and start working with my sponsor, Petronas until 1990. Due to the recession years at that time, Petronas released me and I got a job as an Application Engineer with Chloride, which is a UK, based company that specialized in Industrial Batteries and Power related products. Then I moved up the corporate ladder at Chloride and in 1995 I was appointed as Marketing Manager. No doubt I am an Engineer by qualification but I like to do marketing that gives me the leverage to get to know more people and learn about marketing and my ultimate aim is to have my own business.
Then in 1996, I moved again to Swichtec (now known as Eaton, Powerware), which is a New Zealand company originally (now being sold to Eaton, USA) that specialized in Switched Mode Rectifiers, or some people called it Power Supply
Systems and other Power related products. I served the company until 1999 and then I start to venture into my own business in the year 2000 (The new Millennium).
Then I realized business world is not that easy. Day in and day out I am being running around to market my product. Oh! Forgot to tell you…. my product is the same, that is Switched Mode Rectifiers but this time I formed a JV company with an Australian counterpart and branding the product to TPS for local Malaysian market.
I did not realized all these years that my eldest daughter already 12 years old. That is when I have to think.
Hey! I have being running around and have no time to be with my family. Then in 2005, one find day while I sit back at my office desk and ponder about me growing old without getting to know my kids closer.
This is when all begins for me to start to know about Internet Marketing or Online Business and my tag is “MySimpleOnlineBusiness“.
Make sure to browse through this blog to know me more and we could share ideas here. Enjoy your stay!

Assalamualaikum,
Just like you, I am very thrilled at the prospect of Internet Marketing opportunities. I have been working for the past 20 years (actually I am already in my mid 40’s). I have been longing to stop working for others and be my own Boss. So, about 2 yrs ago, I started my own business and, like you said, it ain’t easy. I worked very hard and spent a lot of time & effort to develop the business, but unfortunately, due to lack of capital, my business failed.
Not wanting to give up, I am now looking at online business as a means of earning an income for me & my family. For a start, I have joined a few affiliate programs and promoted them.
Hope we can share the tricks and the treats of the trade, eh?

Interesting web you have. I have no idea at all about online marketing, but very interested to learn more about it. Can education be online?…such as e-learning..I’m a trainer in education by profession, and have written a lot of modules related to it. Can it be market through online, but in a more interactive mode. Maybe you could assist me. Thanks and good luck.

Hi, I am not sure whether you received my long message that I sent to you some weeks ago. Since I did not hear from you, maybe the long message has ended up “God knows where”. I read your profile with interest especially with the many “similarities” that we had gone thru like working in Petronas, studying in Anderson Ipoh, etc. I hope to meet with you over coffee if it is ok with you. I am staying in Subang too by the way. Hope to receive your respond this time.
