New Year’s Resolution

New Year is coming. How are we doing this year and what is going to achieve next year? Each year, one make a new resolution. The question is, Do we meet the target, Do we achieve our goal, or Resolution just remain as a dream?

In brief what is a New Year Resolution? New Year’s Resolution is a commitment that a person makes to a project or a habit, or a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year’s Day and remain until the set goal has been achieved, although many resolutions go unachieved and are often broken fairly shortly after they are set. (This is the definition at Wikipedia)

No matter how successful one has been in following the resolutions in previous year, one makes fresh resolutions for the coming year with full determination and will. The starting days of New Year are the most crucial in order to plan for the entire year. These are the days when most of the people sketch a graph for the whole year. To materialize the things thought of is somewhat difficult but still some people manage to do so. New Year resolutions provide a sort of direction to people to lead the coming year.

The best way to stick with your resolution is to plan ahead.

Persevere And Put In Consistent Hard Work

What is consistency in an Online Business?

Very often, a new person would be enthusiastic when he gets involved in an endeavor. Putting in a 30-hour week for the fisrt few weeks is not an issue at all. The reality sets in. I give an example of a man working in an office. When office work catches up with them, they start to spend more time at the office, and forget about the business for a while. Or they may find that their business is not as easy as they thought it would be. Yes, they want the financial and time freedom it offers, but still, it is not easy to convince people to do the business.

Slowly but surely, they will put in less and less effort. Perhaps they listened to friends who convinced them that life is more than just revolving around work. Why work so hard at the office and yet work harder every day building an online business. They could not resist their friends’ invitation for another game of ‘mahjong’ =) or sessions of happy hours.

Saying this I would like you to view this movie with an open mind.

http://www.mysimpleonlinebusiness.com/blog/videos/motivation

Okay after seeing the movie, let me proceed here. If you mingle with the wrong people, your dedication to the business will fizzle out. This is the reality. This is also the reason why so many people came into the industry, wanting all the glitter and goodness it offers and yet, when they were unable to get the results they wanted in short period of time, they QUIT. The Secret of Success in the business lies in the CONSISTENCY of Effort.

The Law Of Success is very similar to the law of nature. In order to harvest continuously, we have to sow continuously. If we miss a season of sowing, we will also miss a season of harvesting.

However, it is not fruits or crops that you sow but seeds for a better future and life. If you keep sowing and nurturing the land, one day, the seeds you have sown will turn into a ‘farmer’, and he or she will continue to sow seeds of a better future with his or her friends. That will be the time when you can afford not to sow anymore if you do not wish to. Believe me, most successful people online would not retire, simple because, there is no need for them to do so. Once you get the hang of it, this business becomes very enjoyable, so why retire? =)

From my experience of doing business conventionally and also online businesses, A True Leader or Marketer will emerge after a peak period of activities. Like the saying goes, “There Will Be A Clear Sky After A Storm”.

So in whatever you are doing currently, my advise is to stay FOCUS and PERSISTENT it the accent of your Success.

I would like to highlight here, what the Chartered Institute of Marketing Director said about today’s marketing trend.

Geoff Hurst, said, “Playing by yesterday’s rules is not an option for the modern marketer. Keeping up to date with current thinking and maintaining skills have never been more important.” Most marketing people believe technology is accelerating the rate of change in promotion, however, and Hurst says, “It is interesting to note that a significant majority of marketers is still not making use of the full spectrum of technologies available to help them communicate with customers.”

This is the way to succeed online. All The Best.

Trying To Heal a Broken Heart?…Focus On Yourself

“We either make ourselves happy or miserable. The amount of work is the same.” -Carlos Castaneda

There are many times when ending a relationship that our self-esteem suffers. Self doubt and insecurities may surface.

Because you are in, shall we say; a fragile state right now, it’s important to continue to make good choices for yourself.

By taking care of yourself and trying to do what makes you feel better; you are allowing yourself the opportunity to really begin to heal you heart.

Although you are feeling bad there is one very important thing you must remember not to neglect or forget. It’s the one thing that will guarantee your feeling better…”Don’t forget to take care of yourself.”

Indulge yourself. You are going through a tough time right now so take extra care in being easy on yourself. Treat yourself to all of the little niceties that will make YOU feel better.

New hair-cut, color, make-up, facial, manicure or massage. Buy yourself something you’ve been wanting. Go and do something you enjoy. Do anything that makes you feel great about yourself. Do anything that you love doing which you’ve been putting off.

Join a gym, if you can’t afford it, go for a walk and commune with nature. Go on a vacation or go out with your friends again. Occupy yourself with positive activities and stay focused on things that make you happy.

If someone you love was going through the same thing, how would you treat them? Well, that someone you “should” love is yourself. Spoil and pamper yourself just as you would someone you love.

This is the time to be nicer to yourself than you’ve ever been before… You’re worth it!

What you may not realize yet is this: As time goes by and you are starting to feel good again, the person that is going to emerge will be the new and improved version of you. Take this opportunity to start to love yourself more. You have the power to create your future. Choose to live it well!

There is a saying, “With every door that closes another door opens.” Begin to believe in a better life. Change isn’t always easy but…with change comes growth.

The door that is opening for you is to a new life. As you begin to accept that your relationship is over…you can begin to look forward instead of living in the past.

As you start to focus more and more on moving on…make sure you are moving on to the life you want. As you know; the choices we make determine how we live our lives.

Take this time and use it to your advantage. As difficult as it has been to go through, I’m sure you don’t want to make the same mistakes again.

Use this as an opportunity to create the life you want. Get beyond your fears and you will open yourself up to living a better life!

My One Money Advice (MOMA Meme)

Hin’s Tech tagged me in his “My One Money Advice” . He was inspired by Blog Action Day and he has tagged four other friends for the post. I believe they all do have interesting and insightful posts for ‘My One Money Advice.’

I would like to thank my online friend, Hin, for tagging me on this movement or effort. To me it is not all about money when you want to be successful. Do we gauge a successful person with money that they have? I do not think so. Not all rich people in this world are happy people or successful people. To me a successful person is a happy person with their lives, happy with their family, happy with their work or what they do, happy with what they have in lives.

On top of that there are 6 keys to be Successful and be Happy;

a. Have an effort to be successful. One must work or take action to be successful.
b. You could be successful if you have Savings. Saving should be done continuosly even at 10% of your earnings. I have an example below on how we could dictate our Savings.
c. Grow your saving with good and profitable investments. It must be clean and profitable. Look for the best option.
d. With your profits, you should give out some to help others example as elms. This is important because when you help others, people will remember you and later they will pray for your success. This is the chain reaction.
e. Do not ever put yourself in great debts. Big debts will kill your efforts and your motivations.
f. Always pray to God for your success.

Above all there must be a balance between your income and also your spending. Do not over spend against your income. Do not ever compare with others. Just focus on yours. When you start comparing, that is when the problems crop-up.

Note: How to Do Savings – I would recommend as follows,

1. Save 1/10 to put a side and forget.
2. Save 1/10 to settle your debts.
3. Save 1/10 for elms or to help others (to communities).
4. Use 2/10 for your family.
5. Use 1/10 for your needs.
6. Give out 1/10 to your parents.
7. Re-invest 2/10 to double up your profits.
8. Re-invest 1/10 to your existing business.

Now I would like to know what my friends Alvin, Karen Lim, Niralan Bobalan, Gobala Krishnan, and Rocky John Tayaban have to say about their one money advice.

What everyone is saying?
