Successful Mindset

Guys, I am preparing some articles to be fit in this blog for the next one week. It is about marketing online and how to successful online. There are many criteria to talk about this. If I were to talk this in length it will be like a live conference. I do not want to do that. I just wanna share it here, yes, here at my own blog with my own domain name. It is personalize by me, Rosli Hanip at roslihanip[dot]com.

Picture yourself standing on the rocky stone overlooking a crystal clear blue lake . . . the wind blowing in your hair and the sunshine (like in Malaysia..example tioman island) on your face. Your eyes are closed as you relish the moment. You remember that the mountains are in the distance across the lake.

You can hear birds in the air, and waves lightly floating onto the shore. The cabin you rented is about hundred yards behind you as you now sit barefoot on the rock with your feet in the water. You realize that your mind is perfectly clear, like the blue lake water, and your senses are alive and well. You smile as you recall that there is no employer expecting you back to work. You are on no schedule but your own. There is literally enough money in your bank account to allow you to stay right here for the rest of your life . . . . . and at some point, you just might do that. Your life is full of options and you feel at peace.

Stay tune for more juice from this “Successful mindset” topic or sharing for the next one week.

Mahathir quits UMNO

A hot news surface today at noon, Malaysian time. Today is a public holiday but Malaysians are “rock” with this news from Alor Star. Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced this on Monday at 12.35pm, citing a lack of confidence in the current leadership.

“I am quitting Umno today,” he told about 1,000 people, mostly Kedah Umno members, at a talk here on Monday.

It was not immediately clear whether the 82-year old Mahathir, who led UMNO for 22 years, would form a splinter party to fight UMNO, but analysts said the move was aimed at jolting the party to act against Abdullah and to preserve Mahathir’s legacy.

“There has been too much talk and no action by those who are anti-Abdullah,” said former deputy premier Musa Hitam. “So Mahathir has to take the first step. Many will follow soon.”

However, he advised those who do quit not to join any opposition party, adding they can all rejoin the party once there is a change in leadership.

How will he ensure about this? This is the scenario that will closely monitor by political analysts in Malaysia and worldwide.

The PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has so far refused all calls for him to step down, and said he would defend his presidency in the party polls in December. This is the main reason why Tun is making this announcement today.

10 ways to save money on gas or petrol

Oil, Gas, Petrol Prices have been skyrocketing due to the weakening US dollar and heavy speculation in world markets.

So I have one question to ask you today. Here it is . . . .

Will gas prices ever go down again? I wish I could say “yes”; however, there is no sign of a change in the near future. That is why we, the consumer, have to learn how to be frugal at the pump. I have arrived at 10 tips on how we can save money at the pump an also help preserve the environment.

#1 Make sure your car is serviced, regularly. Cars that do not run properly use more gas.

#2 Check your tire pressure, consistently. Over-inflated tires can reduce your fuel efficiency just as much as under-inflated tires.

#3 Try to avoid running your vehicle’s air conditioning unit. Running the air conditioner causes lower gas mileage. If you have to have the air conditioner on, then keep it at a low setting. Another alternative is to turn the air conditioner on until the car gets cool and then turn it off and let the fan circulate the cool air. If you are alone driving, just off the air conditioner and open your window :)

#4 Likewise, when traveling at high speeds, keep your windows closed. If you have your windows open when you are traveling at high speed, then the open window will cause a drag. The drag will lower your gas mileage.

#5 If you are traveling at fast speeds, then make sure your gears are not in low. Obviously, am I right?

#6 If you are stuck in traffic and will not be moving anytime soon, then it is a good idea to turn your engine off, instead of letting it idle for a period of time.

#7 Stop and go traffic hurts your gas mileage. So, if at all possible, change your work time to avoid the morning and evening rush hours. This may mean leaving earlier or later. The best is to work from home :) and not to worry about the rat race!

#8 Do not let your car “warm up” on colder days and this does not apply in Malaysia but to you guys in the US and Europe. Again, you will lose gas mileage, if you let your vehicle idle for periods of time.

#9 Take unneeded items out of your car. Excessive weight just bogs down your car and gas mileage. Also recommended you to exercise or go on diet to have an ideal weight :) (Like me, play futsal every evening)

#10 Plan your trips well to avoid unnecessary driving. If nearby like going to groceries or to buy an errant, just walk.

Remember that you do not have to be a victim at the pump. There are steps you can take that will prolong your visits to the gas station. Check the latest gas price here.

Guys, I got one more bonus tip for you . . .

Do not drive your car, just car pool with others. Or sell off your car and just take public transport example bus, LRT, monorail, etc, Or simply get one of the user friendly and cheap “convertible” . . . .below . . .

Gas Prices on the rise, so does the Gas stealing

It is reported in New York recently that U.S. motorists, angered by soaring gasoline prices, are resorting increasingly to theft — a trend that could worsen heading into summer driving season, a national association of fuel retailers said Thursday.

Here is another one, a 70-year-old man has been charged with grand theft after police watched him siphon off more than 900 gallons of gasoline from underground storage tanks at two gas stations, the Polk County authorities said Wednesday. This is reported at msnbc.msn.com

Gas station owners say that record high gas prices mean that a higher number of customers are driving off without paying for their gas. They say it’s not uncommon to see the number of drive-offs rise when the price of gas rises, and the steady jumps in fuel prices have made this a grim reality for many gas station owners.

It’s predicted that gas will easily be at $4 per gallon in many areas in the US soon, so concerns about drive-offs are growing.

You’ve probably heard about people stealing gas by driving off from the pump without paying. But now we’re starting to hear reports of people stealing gas right out of someone else’s car. View this video, you are spotted in action!
